The Host
Afe Babalola University hosted the 6th Nigeria Private University Games from 10th- 20th December, 2015. The University accommodated all participating students, their officials and all the officiating officers. A total of nineteen (19) Private Universities participated in the competitions. Cleaner, Porters and other officers worked together to create an enabling environment in the hostels. Medical attention was given to athletes that are injured during each of their game. The generator was always on during power failure. There was a mini market available during the games also all athletes had the opportunity of practicing before the event proper begins.
Game Venues
All the games were held in two venues within ABUAD community, the two venues are;
ABUAD SPORT GROUND: The games held on the sport ground are, basketball,
football, tennis, track and field event and volleyball.
TALENT DISCOVERY CENTER: badminton, chess, scrabble, swimming, table tennis
Rivals
Most of the Universities that took part in the events did not compete in all the games. Afe Babalola University was the only University that presented athletes in all the games. Ben Idahosa University has a lot of experience in terms of past events and current rating in NUGA and NPUGA. They also used state and national athletes which are not good enough for the competition at this level. Lead City University had a lot of old and experienced athletes, including state and national athletes.
Redeemers, Nigerian Turkish, McPherson and other universities came with very young and talented student’s athletes but couldn’t make much difference, but they are faithful to the standard of the competition. Kwararafa University came to observe. Oduduwa University students also put in their best which is encouraging. Igbinedion University concentrated on athletics. Babcock University maintained their reputation. Bells University put up a good sportsmanship spirit but AL Hikma University could not. Afe Babalola university students did not disappoint the founder of the university. All other universities that came for the competition tried but the best will always be on top.
Medical
The medical contingency was led by the medical director Mrs. Jubilee. There were two stations available during the events for first aid while the ambulance was available and was used to convey more severe cases to the clinics for proper attention. Their impact was felt mostly during the athletics events where they had to come in to revive some athletes.
Media
Mr. Ibikunle Ajisafe and his team was the talk of the events. The events were covered successfully with some professional touches. Several catching postal were pasted at strategic position while advert were on in EKTV and NTA Ado-Ekiti.
Facilities
The facilities used for the competition was the best in the history of NPUGA. Starting from the football field, basketball court with an international standard upright, the volleyball court, tennis and the Talent Discovery Center where all the indoor games took place, games like badminton swimming table tennis, scrabble, and chess. ABUAD have set a pace that will be difficult to beat in the nearest future.
Non- Eligible students
The issue of non- eligible students was stressed before the competitions. All Universities were warned to bear in mind that there would be penalties for such act. There were cases of Universities making use of non-eligible students, those detected before the games where sent off the games ground and those that participated in one or two games and where later detected their medals were withdrawn.

Conclusion
The 6th Nigeria Private University games is over but the memory will last long in the minds of all the universities that participated in the 6th edition because in the history of NPUGA no host has ever attained standard of sporting facilities and organization provided by Afe Babalola University. Our greatest gratitude goes to the founder of Afe Babalola University, Aare Afe Babalola who gave us the enabling environment and impeccable equipment and facilities as well as the cooperating management staff. All hands were on deck, even the Bursary Department, Medical, Media as well as coaches that are not from Sports Science Department, we say a big thank you. Also the unrelenting effort of the NPUGA council executives made a big difference in arriving at good decisions. The contribution of the LOC and MOC members made the success a great one. We hope to live to this expectation in the nearest future.
